We are going on a Dc trip. And we need help.?
Our class of 6 (2 chaperones) are going to DC for 3 days.

On Day 2: We want to go to Arlington National Cemetery at 8:00am. Then the LIncoln Memorial. the American History, Natural History, and the Holocaust Museum. Is that ridiculous?
On day 3: We will be touring the white House. (already talked the our Senator)
Also we need to find some good (yet under $10.00) resturants or delis and such that are in the National Mall or very close! ( that is the main thing we need)
We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express National Arboretum (Northeast) has anyone heard reviews or stayed there?

It also takes time to tour the places if you really want to see anything. I imagine that extending your trip is not a possibility, so you will have to scale back on what you want to see.
I'd skip the Washington Monument. I understand it's not much to see. Try to see the Capitol and the Supreme Court instead.
As for day 2, that's way too much. Seeing both Arlington and the Lincoln Memorial is a possiblity--although the Lincoln Memorial is a good eight blocks from the Foggy Bottom station. But getting into the Holocaust Museum will be almost impossible if you don't line up early or have advance tickets. It also takes hours to go through if you really want to get a grasp of the exhibits.
So try Arlington National Cemetery, the Lincoln Memorial, and maybe ONE museum.
As for what to eat, the museums do have cafes, but they're not particularly good. Sadly, dining options near the National Mall and the visitor areas, for lack of a better term, are lacking. For the first day, you may be able to walk to Union Station where there's a food court.
